By the time I started to take an interest again, the Clyde was down to two
steamers - the Paddle Steamer Waverley and the Turbine Steamer Queen Mary II.
At the time these photos were taken, it was clear that their owner, British Rail,
was already counting their scrap value.
I apologise to these lovely craft for photographing them when they were not at
their best, but it's all part of their story...
