Bored with nothing to do? Then playing an
RPG (Role Playing Game) might be what you want.
A good rpg game takes some time to understand and play. Most are pure text, but the best thing about that is, it's *your* imagination that creates the 'pictures'.
Once you've got the basics down, you'll really find yourself getting lost in the game (figuratively *and* probably literally!). Time will pass very quickly because you're having so much fun.
Most games are a 'hack and slash' type, but that doesn't mean you have to 'kill' everything in sight. Monsters abound that you can help rid the world of, thus if you want to be an dwarf cleric or gnome bard or even a sprite dancer who basically wants to 'save' others, you can still advance by killing 'Bad Critters'.
It takes a little time at first. There's usually a bit of reading you need to do to understand 'what' and 'how' to play. The great thing about it is there's usually someone else on the game who is more than willing to help out with any problems or questions you have.
So, now that your curiosity is (hopefully!) piqued, you're wanting to find a MUD to play in. Take a look here

at least use a browser that is going to keep you somewhat safer
while surfing the 'net, and an Office application that is far better than
anything M$ offers and is *compatible* with M$ Office!

Seamonkey -OR- 
Any of these three are safer, more configurable than Internet Exploder and FREE!FREE tutorials on learning OpenOffice!!

the page 'should' automatically refresh every 60 seconds (when I have it turned on of course).
You'll only see new pics when it's turned on. I can't get DSL or
cable way out in the woods where I am, and satellite is too expensive.
