The Sundial
Since we live in Connecticut, we have no shortage of rocks.
Once in a while, when the mood is on us, we build paths with them.
The result is quite attractive, once the mosses have moved in, and is
quite hard-wearing (as long as you don't walk on it very often).
The paths also split the main border into manageable chunks, and provide
structure, particularly when the herbacious plants are fighting each other for space.
The sundial is at the junction of three of our paths.
