Force State Republicans to Save

Public Transportation


On Thursday, December 16th, the SEPTA of Directors will likely vote to cut all service by 20%, lay off workers and increase fares to $3 a ride.  The only way to prevent this from happening is if the state legislature provides an additional $63 million dollars for next year's budget and comes up with a permanent solution to our region's public transportation inequities.  This is why we have drafted the following petition:
 
"John Perzel and the state's Republican leaders must come come up with a plan to permanently fix public transportation inequities for the Delaware Valley before fare hikes, layoffs and service cuts are enacted at SEPTA's board meeting on Thursday."
