| The Town Board is the legislative body of the Town government. The Board sets budgets, approves expenditures and legislates. The Town Supervisor chairs all Town Board meetings, but has little other authority. The supervisor gets one vote on all matters brought before the Board replacing the historical position of only voting to break a tie vote. All meetings are open to the public according to the law. Anyone wishing to address the Board is requested to submit a request to the supervisor or clerk in advance of the meeting. Please outline the purpose of your request and identify all those you represent. Privilege of the floor is offered at each meeting. However, while each meeting is open to the public, speaking at each meeting is a privilege given by the supervisor at his discretion. Speaking to the board carries an obligation to follow some simple rules:
