Selecting Your Camp Session

Level 1 Camp:  Includes basic horsemanship skills
   tailored to the Camper’s needs.
~ Natural horsemanship skills
~ Horse breeds
~ Grooming & tack cleaning
~ Horse markings
~ Tacking up, leading, mounting
~ Stall cleaning
~ Riding skills, walk, trot, posting

Level 2 Camp: Novice Horsemanship skills
~ Review basic skills
~ Transitions
~ Beginning canter work
~ Trotting poles
~ Beginning jumping skills


Level 3 Camp:  Intermediate Horsemanship Skills
(Riding vest for jumping recommended)
~ All basic and novice skills essential
~ Cantering
~ Natural horsemanship applications
~ Jumping to 18”
~ Transitions (dressage basics)
~ Horse health

Level 4 Camp:  Advanced Riding Skills
(Riding vest required, 2 weeks recommended)
~ Must have basic, novice, and      intermediate riding skills
~ Dressage
~ Cross country
~ Liberty skills (basics)
 

Special Sessions:

Session A: Adult Camp (added by request)
~ Basic skills at all levels, tailored to your needs

Session B: Counselors and CITs 
~ Counselor training camp (Must have attended Merry Mount Riding Camp previously and must be recommended)
