FROM INTERSTATE 81:
1. a) Headed north from Winchester, take exit 20 and turn right (east)
at the exit ramp stop sign toward Route 11 going to Martinsburg.
b) Headed south from Hagerstown, take exit 20 and turn
left (east) at the exit ramp stop sign toward Route 11 going
to Martinsburg.
2. Right on Route 11 heading south towards Martinsburg.
3. Go 1.1 miles to Bedington and turn left on Bedington Road
(at the big red barn), heading east through Bedington.
4. Go 1.5 miles on Bedington Road until dead ends at Scrabble
Road.
5. Left on Scrabble Road, and go 2 miles to Carlyle Road. You
will pass the entrance to the Izaak Walton League just before
the turn onto Carlyle.
6. Left on Carlyle Road, and go .9 mile to a 4-way stop at Whitings
Neck Farm Estates.
7. Left at 4-way stop onto Whitings Neck Road, and go 1 mile
to Merry Mount sign. You will pass a fenced trailer park where
the road bends sharply to the left just before the Merry Mount
sign.
FROM SHEPHERDSTOWN:
1. Coming out of town on Rt 230 (German St) going towards Martinsburg, turn right
at the 4-way stop at Rt 480 (N Duke St)
2. Go into the 2nd left turn lane after the flashing light and
turn left onto Shepherd Grade Road. (You will see a sign with
binoculars on it.)
3. Go 2 miles to Scrabble Road and turn left. (Another binoculars
sign)
4. Stay on Scrabble Road for 2 miles and turn left (another
binoculars sign), which will still be Scrabble Road.
5. Go 2 miles (through Scrabble) to Whitings Neck Road (you
will also see a "binocular" sign which means you did
it right). Turn right onto Whitings Neck Road.
6. Go 2 miles to Merry Mount sign and driveway (up a hill on
the right). Park near circular drive.
