Rebuilding Jay's Covered Bridge
August 1, 2004 update
Chip is using a jig to make the 4 angled cuts
in the 3 x 8 spruce rafters
Bruce and Matt work out of a manlift to install 4 x 4 wind girts
and vertical through bolts in the top chord
The double 2 x 10 ridge beam is temporarily suported
and the first set of rafters is in place
Friday afternoon and the rafters are just short of halfway
