My name is Joel Altre-Kerber of Buffalo, New York, USA. My maternal grandfather, Daniel de la Cruz Altre was born in Lingayen, Pangasinan, Philippines in 1886, but left few clues as to his family. I began this page and my search for the Altre family in 1999.

In the past year, four branches of the Altre family have met, represented by Rodolfo (Rudy) Altre of New York City, John Altre of New York City, Rizalino (Zaling) Altre of Mandaluyong, Philippines and myself!

Although we don't know how we are all related, we are certain that it is just a matter of time before all the family links are re-established. What is most important is that we have all met again and have a mutual interest in renewing the family ties.
