Elliptical Galaxies
An elliptical galaxy is a relatively featureless ellipsoid or egg-shaped galaxy. Elliptical galaxies range in size from small (dwarf) to supergiant.
Getting Started
Bright elliptical galaxies visible in small telescopes include M87, M84, M49, and M59. Also take a look at two of the satellite galaxies of the Andromeda Galaxy (M31), M32 and M110.
