Globular Clusters

image A globular cluster is a large spherical collection of stars that are tightly bound by gravity. In a telescope, most globular clusters resemble small, wet cotton balls.

Getting Started

For mid-Northern latitudes, start with the Hercules globular cluster (M13), M2, M3, M5, and M22. If you are in Southern latitudes, don't miss Omega Centauri and 47 Tucanae
