This is our 19th season of organic farming and 14th season as a CSA - Community Supported Agriculture. We (Tim, Karen, Jacob, Jewell and Joy) invite you to join Blackberry Community Farm and make a commitment to a healthier way of eating and a more sustainable lifestyle. Blackberry Community Farm will provide members with fresh organic vegetables, fruits, and herbs from mid June to late September.

Why Community Supported Agriculture?

  1. Quality and Variety of Produce
Produce is harvested when naturally ripe and generally delivered on the same day to retain freshness. We grow a wide variety of produce so members can experience new tastes.
  2. Building Connections and Community
Members can find a new sense of connection with the land, farmers, food, weather, and seasons. Volunteering at the farm can build understanding and community.
  3. Education
The notes and newsletters are educational. Hands-on educational opportunities are also available at the farm.
  4. Shared Benefit and Risk
Members make a financial commitment to the farm before the growing season begins which is an active way to support the risks of farming as well as the bounty.

The Farm and How We Grow Food
Blackberry Community Farm is located in Otter Creek Township, Dunn County, Wisconsin. The farm is located 80 miles east of the Twin Cities. Our family farm is a 30 acre homestead surrounded by woods. It consists of a mixed orchard; flower, herb, and vegetable gardens; honey bee yard; berry patches; beautiful rolling hills; and woods with abundant wildlife.

We believe to grow healthy food one must start with health and love. The health of the farm is maintained by using organic practices such as crop rotation, composting, green manure crops, and re-mineralization. We love our work and our non-profit mission is to be a blessing and service to God by providing healthy food and education for our community.

What To Expect

Each member will receive a 5/9 bushel box
(16lb avg.) of fresh produce for 16 weeks – mid June to late September. A share will typically feed a family of four depending on eating habits.

Your produce will be delivered to a pick-up site along with a note or newsletter that will provide farm news, information about the produce, recipes, announcements of events, and articles about food and health issues.

Members are welcome to visit or volunteer on the farm. Volunteers are invited to share a meal with us. There will be a Summer and Fall Farm Festival.
